External update of Nobø products (SPC/SWT)

For customers with products in the Nobø family (SPC and SWT), Nobø/Glen Dimplex made a change to their products at the end of 2025 utilizing a newer version of the Zigbee implementation. To access this new software, it is not possible to perform the update automatically via the Futurehome Smarthub. You must use Nobø/Glen Dimplex's own app, ConfigR, and follow their procedure.

Important information from the manufacturer (Glen Dimplex): "Devices that are manually updated via the ConfigR app, Will be removed from the connected smart home platform. After a completed update, simply power on and off device and then add the device back to your smart home platform."

To ensure that the device functions correctly after the update, you must follow the steps below in the Futurehome app.

Step 1: Remove the device from Futurehome Since the update breaks the connection to the Smarthub, you must delete the device from the system before you start.

1. Open the Futurehome app.

2. Go to Settings in the Futurehome app.

3. Select Devices from the menu.

4. Find the Nobø device (SPC or SWT) you wish to update.

5. Go to Settings (or Edit) and select Delete device.

Step 2: Perform the update (ConfigR) Now the software on the thermostat itself needs to be updated. This is done using the app ConfigR.

• Follow the instructions in the guide to download the app, connect via Bluetooth, and install the latest firmware.

Step 3: Add to Futurehome again When the update is confirmed as complete in the ConfigR app, the device must be added to Futurehome again.

1. Restart: Turn the thermostat (SPC/SWT) completely off and on again (flip the fuse or use the switch if available).

2. Activate pairing: Set the thermostat to pairing mode (see the Nobø guide for details on device menu options).

3. Add: Open the Futurehome app, go to Settings -> Add new device -> Select the Nobø device you wish to add from the list.

4. Follow the guide in the app to re-add the products.
