Power Manager is a service within Futurehome that optimises your energy usage. In short, it turns your devices on/up when there is available capacity and the price is low, and off/down in the opposite scenario. This means that your devices are turned off/down at some hours of the day.
Overriding Power Manager
As of today, we do not have a button or out-of-the-box solution for overriding. But you can select which devices to be included in Power Manager
-
Open the app and click the “Energy” tile on the dashboard.
-
In the upper right, click “Optimisation” and “Managed devices”.
-
Deselect the devices you want to override and go back.
-
Since the last state on the device was off, you need to turn it on.
Keep in mind
-
This can affect Power Manager's ability to keep your energy consumption below your set limit for the grid tariff.
-
Always remember to select the device in the list of managed devices when you are done overriding.
-
If you deselect an EV charger, the dynamic load balancing will still work. Meaning that there should not be a risk of tripping your main breaker, but this does not mean you are guaranteed to stay below the grid tariff threshold.
