Intro

With sensor-based automations, users can set up automatic actions triggered by a selected sensor reporting a specific state. An example could be: “If there is movement in the hallway and the mode is Sleep, turn on two lights, and turn them off after 15 minutes”.

Creating an automation

  1. Go to settings settings.svg → automation → + automation → sensor.

  2. Choose the type of sensor that will trigger the automation:

    • motion
    • door
    • window
    • temp
    • humid

Note: One of the sensors available is wattage, choosing which results in creating a consumption-based automation.
