Users
Users can be found under settings → Users.
Here you can see the users associated with the household and their access rights.
- Owner - There is one owner per household. This is either the user who created the household or who has had it transferred from the previous owner. The owner has full rights.
- Admin (full access) - A household can have multiple administrators. An admin can make changes to the household, but not as many as the owner.
- User (standard access) - Has access to control devices, but cannot change household settings.
Transfer ownership (Change of ownership)
If you have set up the household for someone else, are selling the home, or for other reasons need to transfer ownership, you can easily do this.
- Go to settings
→ My household → Household ownership.
- Select Use email address.
- Enter the email of the new owner → press send.
- The new owner must follow the instructions in the email sent from Futurehome.
- The new owner must approve the email within 48 hours after it is sent; otherwise, it must be sent again.
What happens to my subscription when the system changes owner?
The subscription follows both the person and the system. Even if you transfer ownership of a system, the subscription is still linked to you as a person. You must contact customer service to cancel the subscription. The new owner must sign up for a new subscription. This is because we need to register payment information for the new owner, and sometimes a credit check is also performed so that the legal owner must sign a new agreement.
User profile
Your user profile can be found under settings → you. Here you can do the following:
- Change name, phone number, and language.
- Change contact permissions: How can Futurehome contact you?
- Change password.
- Delete user.
