Summary
- Go to settings → devices → add new device.
- Select Z-Wave or Zigbee → start → put the device in inclusion mode.
- After the device is included, give it a name and place it in a room.
Z-wave inclusion
- Go to settings → devices → add new device.
- Select Z-Wave.
- If you want the device to be added quickly, check Include known devices faster option.
- Select level of security:
- force non-secure inclusion - preferable unless specified otherwise
- secure inclusion - for security devices (i.e. door locks, fire alarms)
- S2 inclusion with PIN - for devices which support this kind of security (information about it can be found in their manual). The PIN code is 5 digits and is often found on a device.
- Press start.
- Put the device in inclusion mode. Check the device’s user manual for information on how to do so.
Note: If you have a battery device and it is not included within 20 seconds, set the device in inclusion mode again. Once the device is found, wait approx. 20-30 seconds and then put the device in inclusion mode once more. - After successful inclusion go to settings → devices → select your device → settings → give a device a name and place in a room.
Zigbee inclusion
- Go to settings → devices → add new device.
- Select Zigbee → start.
- Put the device in inclusion mode. Check the device’s user manual for information on how to do so.
Note: If you have a battery device and it is not included within 20 seconds, set the device in inclusion mode again. Once the device is found, wait approx. 20-30 seconds and then put the device in inclusion mode once more. - When the device appears on the screen, tap on “Ok, done!”.
- Go to settings → devices → select your device → settings → give a device a name and place it in a room.
Note: The maximum number of Zigbee devices you can connect to the Smarthub is 70.
