To get the full benefit of your smart home, it is important that devices are placed in the correct rooms. This makes it easier to control entire zones, such as turning off all lights in the "Living Room" with a single tap.
How to organize your home
1. Create an Area (e.g., floor) Areas are used to group multiple rooms, such as "1st Floor," "Basement," or "Outside."
Go to the Room Overview (the button to the left of modes & shortcuts at the bottom of the screen).
Here you can view existing areas and rooms or add new ones.
To add an area, tap "Areas" at the bottom center of the room overview.
2. Create a Room
Click + Create a new room at the bottom of the room overview.
Select a room type from the list. You can change the name of the room at any time.
How to add devices to a room
If a device has ended up in the wrong room or is listed as "unplaced," follow these steps to move it:
Find the device you want to move (either on the dashboard or under "Devices" in settings).
Tap the device to open the settings.
Tap "Customize" at the top of the screen.
Select Room.
Select which room the device should belong to and press S
