About the products

Aqara makes a number of smart devices that communicates on the Zigbee protocol. Note that these are therefore not compatible with Smarthub Classic (Cube 1V0). This article will cover:

• Temperature and humidity sensor
• Motion sensor
• Door and window sensor
• Smart plug

Inclusion

1. Open the Futurehome app → Settings → Devices → Add New Device.
2. Select Zigbee → Start.
3. Hold down the reset button on the device until the LED indicator starts flashing.
   • Temperature and humidity sensor - 5 seconds.
   • Motion sensor - 3 seconds.
   • Door and window sensor - 3 seconds.
   • Smart plug - 5 seconds.
4. Let the Smarthub and device work for a while. It may take up to 1 minute. If the device is not found after 1 minute, repeat step 3.
5. When the device appears, you can press "Done". The device will be at the bottom of the list → press “ settings” → Give it a name, place it in a room and select a function → Save.

Inclusion tip

If you struggle with including the device following the instructions above, please try the guide below.

1. Take out the battery and reinsert it after a couple of minutes.
2. Start Zigbee inclusion.
3. Press and hold the button on the device till it starts blinking.
4. Hold the device 5 cm over the Smarthub. Not under, not on the side, but straight over the Smarthub.
5. Continuously press the button on the device once per second until it shows in the app.

Exclusion

1. Navigate to settings → Devices
2. Find the device in the list and tap it.
3. Select Settings → Delete
4. When the device is deleted, you will get a confirmation in the header.

Configuration

Aqara products have very basic and simple features, but there are a few possibilities. A smart plug can e.g. be selected as a heating unit. If placed in the same room as a temperature sensor, these will communicate to regulate the temperature in the room. If you select “lighting” and place it in the same room as a motion sensor, it can turn on and off automatically based on movement in the room.

Factory reset

Hold down the reset button on the device until the LED indicator starts flashing.

• Temperature and humidity sensor - 5 seconds.
• Motion sensor - 3 seconds.
• Door and window sensor - 3 seconds.
• Smart plug - 5 seconds.
