Set up
- Determine where smoke sensors are to be installed
- Mount the bracket
- Include the device in Futurehome
- Test the device
Placement
When installing smoke sensors, it is important that they are placed/mounted in a way recommended by the manufacturer.
- Smoke sensors must be at least 0.5 meters from the wall and the top of the pitched roof & ventilation
- It is recommended to have one smoke sensor per 60m2 or one per eight meters in open areas.
- The alarm must be clearly audible in the living room and bedroom when the doors between the rooms are closed.
- Kitchen, living room, areas outside bedrooms and technical rooms should be covered.
- Do not place smoke sensors near the cooking area, ventilation or other exposed areas (min. 1.5 meters from ventilation).
- Avoid placement in places with a lot of water vapor, such as bathrooms.
- Do not place sensors in direct sunlight.
Installation
- Mount the bracket to the ceiling. Use a drill to make two holes for ceiling plugs.
IMPORTANT: Use a vacuum cleaner to collect dust while drilling. - Screw the bracket to the screw fitting
- Make sure the room is dust-free before switching on the sensor. Too much dust in the room can affect the first calibration.
Set up and inclusion
- Remove the battery cover.
- Insert the batteries.
- Select rooms on the smoke sensors via voice instructions. Press and hold the button until the correct room is read out, release the button to select a room. If the correct room does not match the room the device is placed in, you can choose the last room called "building".
- Allow calibration to complete, approx. 6 min.

Inclusion
1. Open the Futurehome app, go to settings → devices → add a device → select z-wave. See more about adding devices here if necessary.
2. IMPORTANT: Select "secure inclusion" and "include known devices faster".
3. Press the button on a smoke sensor 3 times within 1.5 seconds.
4. “Device found, configuring” should appear.
IMPORTANT: WAIT UNTIL INCLUSION IS COMPLETED. If the sensor appears as ZW_0_0_0 or ZW_381... it MUST be deleted and re-included. It should show up as SDCO AC…
5. Give the smoke sensor a name, e.g. "Smoke sensor".
6. State in which room it is installed.
7. Save.
Testing
- Place the smoke sensor in the bracket.
- Press the button once and make sure you receive the temperature and humidity value (time stamp on received test signal can be checked under advanced settings on the device).
- Turn on the siren.
- Turn off the siren.
Deletion/Exclusion
Sometimes you want to delete an included device or re-enter it. To delete the smoke sensor from your Smarthub, you must do the following:
- Go to settings
→ devices → select your device →
settings → navigate to the bottom and select delete.
- Smarthub is now in exclusion mode.
- Press three times the same button on the smoke sensor as during inclusion.
Factory reset
Press and hold the button on the detector for more than 20 seconds, release the button when you hear 3 beeps.
Changing room on a sensor
- Remove the batteries.
- Select rooms on the smoke sensor via voice instructions. Press and hold the button until the correct room is read out, release the button to select a room. If the correct room does not match the room it is placed in, you can choose the last room called "building".

Note: This product is only supported if you have software 1.9 or higher on the Smarthub.
