When installing smoke sensors, it is important that they are placed/mounted in a way recommended by the manufacturer.

  1. Smoke sensors must be at least 0.5 meters from the wall and the top of the pitched roof & ventilation
  2. It is recommended to have one smoke sensor per 60m2 or one per eight meters in open areas.
  3. The alarm must be clearly audible in the living room and bedroom when the doors between the rooms are closed.
  4. Kitchen, living room, areas outside bedrooms and technical rooms should be covered.
  5. Do not place smoke sensors near the cooking area, ventilation or other exposed areas (min. 1.5 meters from ventilation).
  6. Avoid placement in places with a lot of water vapor, such as bathrooms.
  7. Do not place sensors in direct sunlight.

Installation

  1. Mount the bracket to the ceiling. Use a drill to make two holes for ceiling plugs.
IMPORTANT: Use a vacuum cleaner to collect dust while drilling.
  2. Screw the bracket to the screw fitting
